Was up early with the dawn. Hadn't planned on a morning walk — in fact, my car was headed towards civilization for errands. But backed-up traffic convinced me otherwise and I ended up on Milagra Ridge with Rio. Together we hiked the dewy trails and watched dawn's sunlight dance with the drifting fog. A mystical mood was created, one that I had not witnessed for months. I found myself muttering 'thank you God for traffic jams.' Definitely, a first for me!

Moral of the story...

When life tells you to take a side trip, listen. And always bring your camera with you!

to finally surrender
to lay bare every filament of my soul
to relax unto life and to know
that my form conforms
to the nature of my inner being

before fruition, before grace… we wait.

Always the challenge, to not fly away too early.
